Aloha ʻohana. American Airlines is flooding saver space between Honolulu and Los Angeles at 35,000 Atmos points plus about $19 in taxes, one-way, in First Class. Availability is spread across April through October, which is rare on this route. Before anyone books, one quick caveat on what cabin you are actually sitting in.

Real Talk on the Cabin
These flights are operated by the Airbus A321 in a domestic configuration, so AA First here is a recliner seat, not lie-flat business. You still get a wider seat, priority boarding, and a full meal with drinks, just not the flagship product you would see on a 777 or A321T transcon. At 35k for a 5-plus hour overwater flight, it is a strong redemption as long as you go in with clear expectations.

Scottie's Take

Not the sexiest redemption, but one of the more practical ones on the books right now. For a lot of my people out here, the real choice isn't recliner First vs. lie-flat suite. It's a middle seat in Main Cabin for five-plus hours overwater, or stretching out up front with a meal. 35k Atmos gets you the second option with points left in the bank for something bigger later.

If the dates line up, move on it. Saver space at this price does not sit forever. Mahalo, and safe travels.
