If your flight just got cancelled

  1. Rebook before you call. The app reassigns you in seconds. The phone queue during a disruption runs hours. Take the app option first, then call only if you want something better.
  2. Check whether a waiver is open. Waivers let you move voluntarily before the airline cancels you, which is the difference between picking your seat and taking what is left.
  3. Watch the inbound aircraft, not your flight. Most cancellations start as an aircraft that never arrived. If the inbound leg is gone, yours is next even while it still shows on time.
  4. Award tickets cancel cleanly. Points return and the cash portion refunds. Paying with points is quietly better than cash when weather is in the forecast.
  5. Get phone numbers from the app only. Search results during a disruption fill with fake airline customer service numbers written with dots or dashes between the digits. Those are scams and the person answering will ask for your card.

Wind, rain, and pressure. Unlike the board above, this map does update on its own.

How this tool works. This is a collected list, not a real-time feed. It is rebuilt periodically from FlightAware's AeroAPI and from boards and advisories checked by hand, and every row shows where it came from. Between collections it goes stale. Automated pulls do not always reflect a cancellation the airline has already made. Hawaii Reward Travel is not affiliated with the Hawaii Department of Transportation, and this board is not a mirror of the official state displays. For the authoritative board at any Hawaii airport, use the Hawaii DOT link above. Alaska and Hawaiian flights link to Alaska's dated status page, which reports the actual outcome for that flight on that day. Other carriers link to FlightAware, which shows the flight number's next scheduled operation rather than its outcome on a past date. Always confirm in your airline app before you travel. If a row here disagrees with your app, your app is right.
