What Am I Signing Up For Here?
Some version of this is always the first real question. & it's a fair one to ask.
"What's the catch?" "How much will this cost me?" "What do you charge?" "What am I committing myself to?" "What are my obligations?"
Here's the straight answer.
The Short Version
You're signing up for nothing. There's no catch.
I'm a coach who helps kamaʻāina households earn travel rewards points strategically. I make my money when you click my application links & get approved for cards. The card issuers (Chase, Capital One, American Express) pay me - not you. There's no fee from me to you, ever, in any form.
What You're NOT Signing Up For
- ❌ No money out of your pocket to me. Ever.
- ❌ No contract.
- ❌ No subscription or recurring charges.
- ❌ No minimum participation.
- ❌ No commitment to apply for any specific card.
- ❌ No commitment to stay in the program for any length of time.
- ❌ No penalty for pausing, slowing down, or stopping.
What I Ask of You
Just two things:
1. When you decide to apply for a card, click on my referral link. That's how the issuers know I'm the one who sent you, & it's how I get paid. You get the same welcome bonus & benefits whether you use my link, someone else's link, or apply by phone. So please use mine - it's the one thing that compensates me for the time I spend on your strategy.
2. Keep me posted as we go. If you don't want a card I've recommended, lmk. If your timeline shifts, lmk. If you want to pause the program, lmk. The system only works when we're communicating - silence is what gums it up. A 10-second text from you saves us both time.
That's it. That's the whole deal.
What Pausing or Stopping Looks Like
Send me a text saying "pause me for [N] days," "set me aside for now," or "I want to stop the program."
I'll acknowledge, stop sending reminders, & either touch base on the date we agreed on or stop touching base entirely. No follow-up beyond what we've planned. No guilt trips. No re-engagement campaigns.
If you change your mind later & want back in, just text. We pick up where we left off.
How I Actually Get Paid
Card issuers pay me a commission when someone I've referred is approved for a new credit card. The amount is always paid by the issuer - never by you, never out of your welcome bonus, never affecting your terms.
My recommendations are NEVER based on which card pays me more. When I suggest a card for you, it's because it fits your spending, your travel goals, your 5/24 status, & your wallet position.
Why It Works This Way
The travel rewards game has a lot of value just sitting on the table for households willing to be deliberate about it. My job is to help you capture that value without the learning curve eating your weekends. The card issuers are happy to pay coaches like me because we drive engaged, qualified applications to them. You get the welcome bonuses you'd otherwise miss. Everyone wins.
That's the deal. No fine print. Mahalo for taking the time to read through — lmk if you've got more questions.
