Saver Space Wide Open: Honolulu to Seattle in Business for 40,000 Points

Seattle, Washington.

Aloha ʻohana. Business class between Honolulu and Seattle is wide open on Atmos Rewards right now for 40,000 Atmos points plus $5.60 in taxes, one-way, on nonstops operated by Alaska and Hawaiian. I pulled 140 outbound dates and 166 return dates between now and the end of July 2027. This one is personal too. I am heading up to Seattle later this month for Alaska Air Group's Investor Day on September 29, so the Pacific Northwest has been on my mind. Before you book, though, read the note on the seat.

Real Talk on the Seat
This route is an aircraft lottery. If your flight is on Hawaiian's A330, you get a true lie-flat seat in an 18-seat, 2-2-2 cabin. That is the one you want for a six-hour flight. If it is on an Alaska 737 or Hawaiian's A321neo, you get a domestic first class recliner: a wider seat and more legroom, but no bed. Same 40,000 points either way. Open the flight details in the search results and check the aircraft before you transfer a single point. And if you just need to get there, many of these same dates show economy from 15,000 points.

The Deal at a Glance

  • Route: Honolulu (HNL) and Seattle (SEA), nonstop, both directions
  • Cabin: Business / first. Lie-flat on the Hawaiian A330, recliner on the Alaska 737 and Hawaiian A321neo
  • Price: 40,000 Atmos points plus $5.60, one-way
  • Book through: Atmos Rewards at alaskaair.com
  • Flight time: About 6 hours each way
  • Travel window: Late September 2026 through July 2027

Award space open (as of September 15, 2026, subject to change)
These dates were found and posted on September 15, 2026. If a date is gone when you search, it was most likely already booked. Always confirm live before you transfer any points.

The deepest windows in both directions are January, March, and May through July. December is the thin spot. Outbound shows only December 2, 4, 8, and 9, and the return side shows just December 8, so a holiday round trip on points is a long shot right now. A few pairings that work today, each 80,000 points plus $11.20 round trip:

  • Thanksgiving: Wed, Nov 25 out, Sun, Nov 29 back
  • Fall getaway: Mon, Nov 9 out, Sat, Nov 14 back
  • Spring week: Mon, Mar 1 out, Mon, Mar 8 back
  • Summer: Wed, Jul 7 out, Tue, Jul 13 back

Availability reflects saver space seen on September 15, 2026. Award space moves. Confirm in the Atmos Rewards booking tool before making plans.

Scottie's Take

What makes this one worth your attention is how open it is. With this many dates to pick from, you can often find a flight on the A330 and actually sleep on the way home instead of settling for a recliner. For my people with family in Washington, kids in school up in the Pacific Northwest, or a fall trip on the list, this is one of the easiest ways to fly up front out of Honolulu.

I will be in Seattle for Alaska's Investor Day on September 29, and I will pass along anything that matters for Hawaiʻi travelers, from Atmos Rewards to routes out of HNL. If these dates fit your plans, move on it. Mahalo, and safe travels.
