- Atmos Gold, Platinum, or Titanium status gets you into the Qantas Business Lounge in Honolulu when you fly a same-day international oneworld flight, including Hawaiian Airlines to Sydney or Japan, plus one guest.
- It's a morning lounge. Recent listings show roughly 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., closed Tuesdays and Thursdays, built around the Qantas flight to Sydney.
- Business or first class on Qantas or another oneworld airline also gets you in, no status needed.
- Atmos Silver and mainland or interisland trips do not qualify. Silver is oneworld Ruby, with no lounge benefit, and Atmos members can't use oneworld lounges on trips within the U.S.
- No credit card or day pass gets you in. The lounge is not in Priority Pass, and there's no pay-at-the-door option.
Here's the short answer for the Qantas Lounge Honolulu question: if you hold Atmos Rewards Gold status or higher and you're flying Hawaiian Airlines, Qantas, or another oneworld airline internationally out of HNL that morning, you're in, plus one guest. If you're Atmos Silver, or you're only flying to the mainland or another island, you're not.
This one is new territory for most of us. Before Hawaiian joined oneworld on April 22, 2026, the Qantas lounge was mostly for Aussies heading home. Now Atmos elites can use it too, as long as the timing works. Here are the current rules as of October 2026.
Who can get into the Qantas Lounge at Honolulu airport?
The Qantas Business Lounge at HNL admits oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members, plus first and business class passengers on Qantas and other oneworld airlines, on a same-day oneworld flight. Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold, Platinum, and Platinum One members and Qantas Club members also get in. For Hawaii residents, that means Atmos Gold, Platinum, and Titanium members flying internationally.
| Your situation | Japan, Sydney, or other international | Mainland or interisland only | Guests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atmos Silver (oneworld Ruby) | No | No | None |
| Atmos Gold (oneworld Sapphire) | Yes | No | 1 on a oneworld flight |
| Atmos Platinum (oneworld Emerald) | Yes | No | 1 on a oneworld flight |
| Atmos Titanium (oneworld Emerald) | Yes | No | 1 on a oneworld flight |
| oneworld business class, no status | Yes | No | None |
| oneworld first class, no status | Yes | No | 1 guest |
| Qantas Club member | Limited | No | Qantas, Jetstar, or Emirates flights only |
| Priority Pass or credit card | No | No | N/A |
What time does the Qantas Lounge in Honolulu open?
The Qantas Business Lounge in Honolulu is a morning-only lounge, open roughly 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, based on Qantas's own listing and recent 2026 guides. It's timed around the Qantas flight to Sydney, so the exact window can shift with the schedule.
That timing is the whole story for locals. If your Hawaiian flight to Japan or Australia leaves in the morning on an open day, this lounge is a real option. If you fly in the afternoon or evening, it will most likely be closed, and the JAL Sakura Lounge is your oneworld choice in Terminal 2.
Hours follow Qantas flight days, and they have changed several times in recent years. Look at the Qantas lounge page the week you fly, especially if you're going on a Tuesday or Thursday.
Can Atmos Gold members use the Qantas Lounge when flying Hawaiian Airlines?
Yes. Atmos Gold maps to oneworld Sapphire, and Atmos Platinum and Titanium map to oneworld Emerald, so all three get you into the Qantas Business Lounge at HNL on a same-day international flight marketed and operated by a oneworld airline. Hawaiian Airlines to Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Sydney, or Brisbane counts.
The catch is the domestic rule. Under oneworld's policy, Atmos members at any tier can't use oneworld lounges when traveling only within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. A standalone flight to the mainland or another island does not qualify, even in first class.
- Atmos Silver (oneworld Ruby): no oneworld lounge access.
- Atmos Gold (oneworld Sapphire): Qantas Lounge on international oneworld flights, plus 1 guest.
- Atmos Platinum and Titanium (oneworld Emerald): same access, plus 1 guest.
Can a credit card or day pass get you into the Qantas Lounge at HNL?
No credit card or day pass gets you into the Qantas Business Lounge at HNL. It isn't a Priority Pass lounge, and Qantas doesn't sell single-visit entry at the door. The lounge passes on the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite card are Alaska Lounge passes, not Qantas.
The paid option is a Qantas Club membership, which works when you fly Qantas, Jetstar, or Emirates. For most Hawaii families that's not worth it. The better play is earning Atmos Gold through flying and card spending, which opens this lounge and the Sakura Lounge on your international trips.
Where is the Qantas Lounge at Honolulu airport?
The Qantas Business Lounge at HNL is in Terminal 2 on the lower level, in the Garden Court area near Gate 26. After security, follow the signs for Airline Lounges and the Cultural Garden. Qantas also publishes a directions PDF on its lounge page.
Since October 3, 2026, Hawaiian checks in all international departures at Terminal 2, Lobby 4, so if you're flying Hawaiian to Japan or Australia, you'll already be in the right terminal. The Plumeria Lounge in Terminal 1 is still available to Atmos Gold and up on Hawaiian international flights if your gate is closer to that side.
How do you use the Qantas Business Lounge at HNL?
- Check the day and time. The lounge is mornings only and closed Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Confirm Atmos Gold or higher in the Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines app, and add your Atmos number to the booking.
- Check in at Terminal 2, Lobby 4 for Hawaiian international flights (new as of October 3, 2026).
- Clear security and follow the Airline Lounges signs to the Garden Court area near Gate 26.
- Bring one guest if you want. Your guest needs to be on a oneworld flight that day.
A nice surprise for morning flights. Don't plan around it.
Real talk, the Qantas lounge is small and gets busy before the Sydney flight, but the breakfast spread and the mimosa station make it a pleasant start to a trip. Since Hawaiian joined oneworld, Atmos Gold members finally have it as an option.
The limiting factor is timing. Most days it's only open in the morning, and twice a week it's closed. If your flight lines up, enjoy it. If not, the Sakura Lounge is the more dependable oneworld lounge in Terminal 2.
