Yes - There's a Method Behind the Madness

You might wonder why I recommend certain cards in a particular order. It's never random. Every suggestion is based on strategy, & that strategy shifts as your situation - & the industry - evolves.

No dartboard. No blindfolds. Just a lot of thought & pattern recognition.

What I'm Factoring In

Spacing. Some cards are best applied for 30, 90, or 180 days apart. Depends on your specific circumstance & which issuers you've recently applied with.

Your 5/24 status. How many personal cards you've opened in the last 24 months. This is why I ask for your card list & approximate month/year you got each.

Chase business cards already in your wallet. Fewer = better odds of approval for new ones. This is why I sometimes suggest canceling some.

Where you'll redeem. Asia, Mainland, Europe - sometimes guides which currency we build first.

Issuer cost structure. Chase & Capital One have lower annual fees. Amex offers great perks but costs more. I time the pivot to Amex carefully.

Card lifecycle. Some cards should be canceled or downgraded on specific dates to avoid unnecessary annual fees.

Your spending habits & travel plans. A card with a $20K spending requirement in three months only works if you can actually hit it w/o stressing out.

Whether your spouse is also playing the points game. Combined household strategy unlocks more leverage than two solo paths running in parallel.

There's always a plan behind the next card I send your way.

That's the heart of my Ohana Program - you don't have to know all of this. Just follow the lead.
