Atmos Rewards: HawaiianMiles and Alaska Mileage Plan Combine Into One Program
HawaiianMiles and Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan are merging to form one powerful loyalty program: Atmos Rewards.
For Hawaiʻi travelers, this is more than just a name change. Atmos Rewards means more choices, more destinations, and more ways to earn and redeem rewards. And if you’ve been saving HawaiianMiles, here’s the reassurance: they’ll transfer automatically into Atmos Rewards points, with the same value and no expiration.
There’s a lot to unpack here, and we’ll be posting updates as we get closer to October 1st and beyond, to help you understand every upgrade and enhancement this new program brings.
Atmos Rewards Timeline
Here’s how the transition will roll out:
August 20, 2025 — Hawaiian officially unveils Atmos Rewards: branding, design, and key features.
September 20–30, 2025 — HawaiianMiles begins winding down; some redemption options may be limited as accounts prepare to merge.
September 30, 2025 — Final day to earn and redeem under HawaiianMiles.
October 1, 2025 — HawaiianMiles fully transitions into Atmos Rewards. Miles convert 1:1 into points, elite status maps into new tiers, and accounts go live in the new program.
(Between now and September 30, you’ll continue earning HawaiianMiles as usual — they’ll simply transfer as points on October 1.)
What’s Staying the Same
Your miles will automatically transfer to the new program.
Their value will not change. They will never expire.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will the HawaiianMiles program continue to exist and if so, until when?
The HawaiianMiles program and its benefits will remain unchanged through September 30, and you may continue to enjoy your Pualani Elite, Premier Club, Huaka‘i by Hawaiian and Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® benefits as usual. On October 1, HawaiianMiles will fully transition into the combined loyalty program. While the HawaiianMiles branding will phase out, your miles and status, Huaka’i by Hawaiian benefits, and credit card benefits will come along automatically.
Is my Pualani Elite status or Premier Club status still valid?
Yes, your Pualani Elite status and Premier Club status is still valid, until the HawaiianMiles program transitions to the combined loyalty program on October 1. Until then you may continue to enjoy your benefits as usual. Beginning October 1, you’ll have equivalent status in the combined loyalty program.
I have the Hawaiian Airlines credit card. Will my card be canceled?
No. Your Hawaiian Airlines credit card will continue to function as it does today. There are no changes to the Hawaiian Airlines credit card program or your cardholder benefits, except that after September 30, miles earned on the card will go to your new single loyalty account rather than to HawaiianMiles.
Scottie’s Take
I know how much trust locals put into their HawaiianMiles. Many of us have worked hard to save those miles for family trips, dream vacations, or just quick hops between islands. That’s why this transition matters so much.
From everything I’ve seen, Atmos Rewards feels like a massive upgrade. Hawaiian is keeping the heart of the program, our miles, our status, and our local perks, but expanding the reach with Alaska’s huge network. That means better options when we want to travel, whether it’s to see family on the mainland or take that big international trip.
There’s a lot still to unpack, especially with the new enhancements rolling out in 2026, so I’ll be updating you right here as soon as new details are released. For now, the bottom line is simple: your HawaiianMiles aren’t disappearing, they’re leveling up into Atmos Rewards.
