Here is an easy one for your ʻohana. Hilton Honors members can earn 1,000 bonus Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios for completing a single Hilton stay between June 1 and August 31, 2026. You register, set Qatar Airways as your preferred travel partner, and those Avios post on top of the Hilton Honors points you would earn anyway. No extra cost, no catch.
What the deal actually is
Hilton and Qatar Airways team up on a bonus promotion most summers, and the 2026 version is the most generous yet. The bonus jumped to 1,000 Avios this year, up from the 750 Avios they offered in 2025. You can register on Hilton's offer page and then complete one qualifying stay during the promotion window.
The nice part is there is no opportunity cost. These Avios are extra, sitting right alongside the Hilton Honors points you already collect on a paid stay, including any global Hilton bonus running at the same time.
How to lock in your 1,000 Avios
Three quick steps and you are done:
- Register first. Sign up on Hilton's offer page before you check out of your stay. If you already booked, that is fine, just register before checkout.
- Set your travel partner. In your Hilton Honors account, go to Preferences and add your Qatar Airways Privilege Club number as your preferred travel partner before check-out. This is the step people forget.
- Complete one paid stay. Any hotel or resort in the Hilton portfolio counts, booked directly with Hilton. The bonus is one time per member, and the Avios post within about eight weeks.
You do not need a Qatar Airways flight or any travel plans to Doha. You just need the membership number linked.
Why this matters for kamaʻāina
If you are flying out this summer, you have probably got a mainland or Vegas Hilton night on the calendar already, or a Hilton stay on the front or back end of a Japan trip. Avios are one of the most flexible currencies out there. You can move them freely between Qatar Airways, British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, and Aer Lingus, so 1,000 Avios from a Hilton stay can land wherever you actually book flights.
It is not life changing money, call it roughly ten to thirteen dollars of value, but it is free and it stacks. Your stay must be completed between June 1 and August 31, 2026. A stay that checks in before the 31st but checks out in September will not count. Paid stays clearly qualify. Reporting is mixed on whether award (points) nights count, so if you are booking a free-night stay, read the offer terms before you count on the bonus.

This is about as low effort as deals get. Two minutes to register and link your account, and you pick up 1,000 Avios on a stay you were taking anyway. I would not book a Hilton just for this, but if you already have a summer stay on the books, there is no reason to leave it on the table. Set it and forget it.
