Aloha ʻohana. Atmos just dropped their August Global Getaways, and three of them are priced special for Hawaiʻi. Osaka at 20,000 points one way, Tahiti at 17,500 points one way, and Sydney at 25,000 points one way. All economy, all nonstop out of Honolulu, all cheaper than what the West Coast pays for the same seat.

The catch is the clock. The booking window is August 5 through August 8, 2026. Four days. After Saturday the promo pricing is gone.

Real Talk on What This Is
Global Getaways is economy only. Every month, every destination. There is no premium economy, business, or first class version of this fare, so do not go looking for lie-flat to Sydney at 25,000 points. These are also starting prices, not guaranteed prices. The number you see below is what saver economy space costs when it exists on your date. The limiting factor is not the promo, it is whether a saver seat is open. That is why we went and pulled real dates for you.

The Three Hawaiʻi Exclusive Fares

These are the ones that matter for us. Atmos published a separate, lower price for Hawaiʻi originating travel on three destinations. Same seat, same cabin, fewer points, purely because you are starting from the islands.

Osaka, Japan award deal from Honolulu for 20,000 Atmos Rewards points
Osaka, Japan · KIX
20,000 points one way from Hawaiʻi
West Coast pays 27,500. You save 7,500 points each way.
Travel window: August 1 through November 18, 2026.
Route: Nonstop HNL to KIX on Hawaiian.
Papeete, Tahiti award deal from Honolulu for 17,500 Atmos Rewards points
Papeete, Tahiti · PPT
17,500 points one way from Hawaiʻi
West Coast pays 25,000. You save 7,500 points each way, or 35,000 round trip out of Honolulu.
Travel window: November 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027.
Route: Nonstop HNL to PPT on Hawaiian.
Sydney, Australia award deal from Honolulu for 25,000 Atmos Rewards points
Sydney, Australia · SYD
25,000 points one way from Hawaiʻi
West Coast pays 35,000. You save 10,000 points each way, the biggest gap of the three.
Travel window: August 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027.
Route: Nonstop HNL to SYD on Hawaiian.

One note on Tahiti. The fare is bookable this week, but travel does not open until November 1. If you were thinking September, that one is not it.

Real talk on the rest of that list. Fiji at 30,000 and Hong Kong at 34,000 are not exciting from Honolulu, because we already have short nonstop hops and better standard saver pricing to that part of the world. The European fares are the sleepers. Madrid and Edinburgh at 20,000 points one way is genuinely strong, even accounting for the fact that we have to connect on the mainland to get there.

Dates We Found Out of Honolulu

We ran all three Hawaiʻi routes in both directions the morning this dropped. Tap a route below to see where saver space was showing at the Global Getaways price. These move fast, so treat this as a starting point, not a promise.

Award space open as of August 5, 2026, subject to change
These dates were found and posted on August 5, 2026. If a date is gone when you search, it was most likely already booked. This promo moves fast. Always confirm live before you transfer any points.

How to Actually Book It

  • 1. Be a member. Global Getaways pricing is Atmos Rewards members only. Free to join, takes two minutes, do it before Wednesday.
  • 2. Log in first. The discounted fare will not show if you search logged out.
  • 3. Search with "use points" selected. The Global Getaways price appears in normal search results on eligible dates. There is no promo code.
  • 4. Short on points? Marriott Bonvoy and Bilt both transfer to Atmos. Confirm your award is showing before you transfer anything, because transfers are one way and final.
Good to Know Before You Book
Taxes and fees. On Hawaiian and Alaska metal, taxes start around $5.60 per person each way. Partner itineraries can run over $100, so check the total before you commit.

Partner fee. If your itinerary includes a partner segment, Atmos charges $20 per person each way, nonrefundable. That went up from $12.50, so do not go by an older post you read.

Free changes and cancellations. Atmos awards are still refundable at no charge. If you are on the fence about a date, lock it and decide later. That is the single most underrated part of this program.

The stopover trick. Atmos allows one stopover of up to 14 days per one way on eligible international itineraries. If you are routing through Asia or Europe anyway, that is a second city for zero extra points.

Scottie's Take

We do not get many wins where living in Hawaiʻi is the reason something costs less. Usually it is the opposite. So when Atmos publishes a separate, lower price specifically because you are flying out of Honolulu, that is worth paying attention to.

Of the three, Tahiti at 17,500 points is the one I would move on. A four hour nonstop to French Polynesia for 35,000 points round trip is a legitimately good use of a small balance, and the November through February window lines up with dry season down there. Osaka at 20,000 is the practical pick if you have been putting off a Japan trip, and the fall window means you are landing in the best weather of the year. Sydney at 25,000 is the biggest raw discount, but be honest with yourself about ten hours in economy before you book it.

Four days is not a lot of runway. If a date on the calendar above works, book it. It cancels for free, and this pricing does not come back.

Mahalo, and safe travels.
