Real talk. This is not a jaw-dropper and it is not international business. It is a domestic recliner, and 40,000 points is a mid-tier First price when the same seats sometimes open at 30,000 and economy on this route runs 17,500 to 30,000. So the premium over coach is real, and only worth it if a wide seat and a meal on a 6 hour flight actually matter to you.

Where it earns its keep is comfort and access. SLC is one of the best-connected airports in the mountain west, so this is a strong front-cabin play for a national parks trip, a ski week, or a springboard deeper into the mainland.
