Scottie’s Take
For me, these kamaʻāina deals are a reminder that we don’t always need to jump on a flight to feel like we’re on vacation. Resorts like Grand Wailea, Halekulani, or even a simple Waikīkī weekend can give us that “getaway” feeling while still being close to home. Staycays are my go-to for our family of 5. No need to corral the kids on a plane, and I can always drive home (hopefully not) if I forget something.
Bottom line: if you live in Hawaiʻi, it’s worth taking advantage of these resident rates while they last. A little staycation can go a long way in keeping us refreshed and ready for what’s next.
